Is my head screwed on correctly?

Holidays have been WAY too busy, with the shopping, and Jon's business and the kids, finding childcare so that I can help Jon out...yada yada yada. Defrosted some salmon so that we could make it for dinner one day and lost it..yes, lost it. Not in the fridge, not back in the freezer, not on the counter...GONE! Would you believe that I walk in my house and smell poop, check the kids, the bathrooms, the kitchen trash...nada! I preheat the oven to make cookies and I open the oven only to find that missing salmon IN the OVEN! what was I thinking about while I did that? WHAT am I thinking when I do Many things that my poor memory doesn't account for???? Any moms out feel me?

Twilight!

After MONTHS of anticipation....here it is~ I went with my very supportive husband to see the midnight showing on opening night of Twilight. I had originally planned on going with a group of girlfriends who also obsess over the Stephanie Meyer Series, But as my husband watched the trailers, he thought he'd like it!
So, Change of plans, I thought it might be funny for him to be the only guy there but we showed up and were surprised when Chase and Eric came with Ana and Kathleen (whose brand new adorable baby was on fox 4 news for being the youngest fan there..Kathleen's baby) It was fun to have a whole Theatre full of fellow fans,(ok, so most of them were probably 14-18) and at the same time annoying when there were parts I really wanted to pay close attention to, and people were talking! I was so surprised to see so many guys there... I think the Characters she chose for Edward and Bella were SO perfect! I hate to point out any imperfection in the movie because I did love it, but Man! It WAS pretty CHEEZY at times! I couldn't help but crack up at some of the faces Edward made,(sorry Abby) It got a little more serious a bit into the movie, But overall I am a FAN and do plan on seeing all 4! Props to Stephanie Meyer, for such a Brilliant Imagination! I've never read any books that size in a matter of 2-3 days! I was skeptical but a Special thanks to Neysa, Ana, and Of course Loli-Pinoli for convincing me that I'd love it!
Go see it Guys!

My oil change

I hope husbands know how everything is twelve times harder to do with two children tugging at you. I went to go and get the oil changed today, and the guy that changed my oil must have 1) had children of his own OR 2) had experienced similar situations with women like myself.

I waited in the lane as Ethan screamed his little lungs out. and Austin's singing Jingle bells, Jingle bells....blah blah blah blah blah should have made it better but No! it just added to the noise! This went on for like 15 minutes until Steven came back to change our oil and by this time Ethan was shrieking the most uncomfortable sleepy cry i've ever heard! and Austin was getting pretty restless too. It sounded like an orchestra was playing out of my car. Poor Steven and everyone else at this place who got to witness the zoo. I was getting looks from a couple of older men that OBVIOUSLY had no children, or never understood what the kids put their wives through!!!
Steven MUST have noticed I was having a rough day because he gave me a free car wash! and a 50% discount! even though I didn't bring my coupon.
Just a funny sidenote~ We were in the tunnel thing of the car wash and those soap guns and water guns were wetting the car as the flappy sponge things were slappin the car as they spun, well Austin got scared or clausterphobic or something cuz he said, Mommy, MOM! Let's go home, K?
I feel like My children control my every move!

My latest project...Belle

This Is Melissa, the girl that works for Jon. I made her Belle Costume so that she could hand out candy on Halloween.

Why do I love to sew so much? Genetics, I guess. My mom owned a bridal boutique when we moved to Texas and custom made dresses for any occasion, mostly weddings. I would go to work with her and make barbie clothes and anything else! I wonder if I would have ever discovered my passion for sewing otherwise. Thank you mommy! She has since gone back to nursing and won't have anything to do with sewing but I wish to someday be as talented and creative and as smart as my mother.

My cute little pirates!

these pics above are from the pumkin patch with Grandma Wise

Ethan just turned 5 months, and is weighing as much as austin weighed at 1 yr! Dr. Latta said we could start giving him solids and cereal last month, so we've been introducing him to the good stuff, Peas! (see more pictures of daddy feeding him, down below)

Our fun started on Thursday With Grandma Wise, She Invited us (Myself and Sarah and the kiddos) to the coolest Pumpkin patch Near Flower mound. We got to ride a little train into the field of pumpkins, a maze, bounce houses and cute little haunted housefronts, Ethan slept most of the time, but Madison and Austin had a lot of fun together, and we had fun watching them. They love each other so much. After taking tons of pictures, we had a little picnic on the pumpkin patch, now Austin won't stop talking about it.

Fri. was the City of Frisco Fire dept. Halloween "trick or treat" for the kids, it's a huge deal. Our friends, the Boley's invited us to go and also a bunch of our friends came along. Austin had so much fun seeing his little friends. and we had fun too. It was a tour of the fire dept. and of safety town, where local companies hand out candy as well as advertise for their businesses. Pretty cool, So I thought I would make the boys matching pirate costumes.

Tonight we had our Chili cook off for our ward and we invited our neighbors the Shaffner's, a family of 8 who just moved to Texas from Washington state. They had a lot of fun and Hopefully will continue to visit the church with us. They actually just called to tell us that they want to have he missionaries over for dinner and us too, she said, " we want to know a little bit about what they do"... ummm...they are what you may call Golden! I made white bean chicken chili, Mmm our friend's recipe (Thanks Ana) it was a hit! Jon and I decided to dress up with the boys, so I made my costume and Jon put his together, so here are a few pics of our Pirate family. ARGH! I got fabrics AND accessories for the boys and me for $14! Can't beat that.

My Most thoughtful husband!

So Jon and I were on our way to see a movie last Fri. night while my sister Grace and my niece Lauren Babysat. We made a quick stop at Uncle Julio's (The best mexican food around) to get some chips and salsa to sneak into the theatre....and all my friends were there! Sneaky Jonny! Neysa and Jason, Melissa and her hubby and baby, Melanie! who I didn't even notice until 5 minutes later because I was SO surprised! Erin, Chris and Sarah, And Jason and Kristy Kenitzer, Even Carrie was there! My husband planned this beautiful Dinner Party, all in my honor, I love you sweet cheeks! Even arranged for my sister to watch our friends kiddos, Thank you sis!

Then Saturday morning, Jon got me an Appt with Snow Ho (yes, that's really her name)..at Toni & Guy for a sweet haircut, Worth every penny! then that night My friend Vanessa (Vanyfoo) babysat for us so that we could go to his High School reunion. The Colony High School class of 1998 reunion was at the Charlie's marina. Organized by our good Friend Chase and his Wife Ana. Jon was the sexiest guy there, always the ladies man. It was fun to meet his friends and high school girlfriend.

MONTHLY UPDATE...Sorry people...

to be quite honest....I'd rather sew than brag about my kids.. j/k I LOVE bragging about my kids, but do people actually read long blog entries?...I'll be honest, I read the first few sentences and the last few if its 6 paragraphs long...If you really caught my attention I'll read it all...I've turned into my 2 yr old. Pretty much just look at pictures and make my own story out of it.

Austin is Growing growing growing, and Ethan is right behind him! Jon went to dress Austin for church in some khaki's he hadn't worn in 3 weeks and he was FLOODIN'...since we are usually running to get to church 5 minutes early, he just sagged them a little. He wore his new khaki's today and he wore them like grandpa...right above his navel cause they're a tad long.

Let's see...
We do so much during the week that I'm always thinking, "remember to blog that...remember to journal that" and I don't because I'm lucky my husband's job allows him to spend so much time at home with us...long story short, I don't blog when my Baby is home.

Update on Austin's potty training, He does really well to tell us when he needs to go, especially at night when he wants an excuse to get out of bed..but hey-he goes. And he especially loves to go in the bathtub, so if his bathroom always reeks of bleach, thats why. Ethan and Austin both wear size 4 diapers... Ethan's ham thighs are bigger than Austin's and his Butt is bigger! E is Wearing (at 4 months) the PJ's that Austin wore last summer(at 19 months) how? I do NOT know! 18 lbs! 25 in. 95th %ile.

I thought I was the Luckiest mom in the world when I had Austin, the PERFECT angel, I just KNEW Ethan would be a little devil, but he is Just as ANGELIC! I'm pretty lucky to have such amazing babies!

We had the chance to watch general conference last weekend and I thought I would try something that was suggested the sunday before in Sacrament meeting, Ask a question, be specific, and open your heart for an answer. I did that, and was very specific....I was amazed at how many ways my question was answered. I also really got a lot more out of conference, because as I listened closely for my answers I learned so much. I love the Prophet, and I love the opportunity to watch conference 2x a yr, it helps me to put my focus back to where it needs to be. I love my savior.

We Just got a new calling at church and today was our first Sunday as Nursery Leaders.
After watching Austin in Nursery today, I am almost convinced we were placed there to regulate on Austin! He thinks he is Kung Fu panda and as cute as that movie was, he thinks he needs to punch and kick everything in there including kids! All the other nursery helpers assure me that he is usually pretty chill, are they being nice? or Does he think he can get away with more?...Probably both.

AUSTIN'S ANTICS

Something cute Austin said last week...
Austin: wanna go on the boat.
Jon:its too cold to go on the boat today, Austin.
Austin: wanna go on the boat, my swimsuit and jacket.

When he jumps out of his crib at night, as he is crying...
Austin:I hurt my nickel (ankle)

When he gets in trouble...
Austin: My eyes are crying (as he points to the tears coming out.)

Since, he has his P's and Q's down pat, I thought I'd throw something else in, Yes sir, and yes ma'am. so now it's
Mommy: Austin, please bring me a diaper for Ethan.
Austin: Yes sir, mommy.
eh, well..a work in progress.

when he wakes peacefully in the morning, the first thing he says in the morning, every day, with his little grin.
Austin: I sleep good, mommy. (all because I asked him one morning {months ago} how he slept)followed by...wanna see MY Ethan.

My favorite is when It's time to go to bed and he doesn't want to sleep yet.
mom or dad: Lets sing and pray and go goodnite, Austin.
Austin: no, I sleep good. As in...he has already slept good today.

Updater

I am just doing this to remove this tag thing from being at the top of the list!! We are potty training Austin with stickers!!! He loves these monster stickers that we got for a dolla, and so we give him one if he pees and three if he poops. Pooping is the hard part, so i have heard. We were getting ready for church this morning, and he disappeared. I called out to him, and he said from his room, "I sleeping". I knew that wasn't true, so i went in to look, and he was on his tummy, in the closet, looking out the partially open double doors. I started to scold him saying that he needs to go poopy in the potty. He says, "No, I go poopy in the closet, leave me alone." Hard to argue with that.

UPDATE!!!! While i am writing this, Austin comes to me and says, "I pee." So i made a big deal about it and went to the bathroom with him to see. I saw something else in the little potty, there is more pee outside on the floor than inside the potty, so i figure it was one of his stuffed animals or a rag or something. Upon Further inspection, it was a turd about 6" long!!!! So my little boy is that much closer to being a man now, he also left the seat up. We didn't think it appropriate to take a picture, so here is another one of this summer.

Anyway, enough crap. Ethan is in the 100% for weight and 75% for height. He's now three months, and is laughing and picking his head up quite a bit. We have issues with giving him kisses on the cheek, and then when we are almost there, he head-butts forward so we poke him in his eye with our noses.

AUSTIN LOVES to share his toys with "his Ethan" he did this last week sometime when we weren't looking.

Fun tag!

It can be about Jon or Me or Both...
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew/know me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

The Fourth of July 2008!

What a Fun 4th of July this year! Austin finally gets it...

We stayed at my parents house Thurs. night to see my sister off to Spain on the 4th. *sniff sniff. Lauren and I went shopping all day while my wonderful mother took care of Ethan and Austin of course came along because he and Lauren are attached at the hip. We finally came home after the mall closed, Met up with my dad and Jon and after eating a Colombian dinner we took off to Mansfield in search of a good spot to buy and shoot fireworks! Austin was pretty psyched and Grandpa Julian was loving it! Austin and Jon went with Lauren to Alamo fireworks and bought a few things from Bubba. We then went searching for a good spot to shoot them off. Our first spot looked safe until a hysterical old man almost ran over us in his jeep yelling…”what the HELL do you think you’re doing?”……um….trying to celebrate? We took off in search of a new spot. Just to be on the safe side we thought we would ask some people who were having a party if we could give them a show…they gladly invited us to join them. Austin liked the sparklers a lot but anything louder than that bothered him after a bit…he ended watching from the car before long, I don’t blame him. I even thought it was getting a little loud and smoky too. The girls loved Austin and were going on about him. We had so much fun with the crazy bunch. We ended up at my parents house at like 1am! A night to remember, Poor Lauren was scared to death after the old man chased us off. Wish you could have been here Grace!!

Sunday July 6th 2008 was the very special day that our Baby Ethan Paul Wise had his baby blessing. We are attending the Frisco 3rd ward. We are so lucky to be in the same ward as Chris and Sarah and Madison and baby Jaxon. Jaxon Porter Wise was also blessed the same day. My brother Fabian and sister in law Angie also blessed their baby this Sunday in Washington D.C. Luke Anthony Granada born on May 24th Just like Ethan. That was really special to have or family and Friends sharing the day with us.

Hot Texas Day

So, Life has been pretty busy what with Jon's new business and our new baby Ethan we haven't been the best bloggers. We went and took the boat out this morning with Devin, uncle Steevo and Chris who's visiting from Utah. We took the babies out and they loved it. Austin has been learning how to swim for the past month and that's all he wants to do is show off.... As soon as he jumped in he water he said," ooh, shark!" We did see quite a few fish jumping around us, but alas, no sharks. Although i do wonder about those alligator gars...... The water wasn't quite bath temperature, but it will be later in August. Ethan is getting his little noises down, and we heard him today give a kinda laugh, so as soon as we get him smiling, we will post it!!

Also, we went over to Neysa and Jason's house this weekend, and helped Austin get cuddly with his betrothed, Ally.
