Havin' Fun With the New Uncle

Josh and Ashley come over sometimes to watch Austin, and they get him to do some pretty funny stuff. Here are a few clips

The Results.....

The blood tests came back positive, I have Parvo. The Doc wants me to take the test again in a few weeks to make sure it was recent. He didn't say more than that. Usually it affects pregnant women in the first half of their pregnancy moreso than those farther along....so, if Doc isn't worried, neither am I! ....He's still kickin' like crazy so I know he's alive! 5 more weeks! Thanks to everyone for your concern. And for those of you in TEXAS, we will be there in 6 short days!!!!! Woo-HOO!

"Slapped-cheek disease?"

Has anyone ever heard of this? Also known as "fifth Disease" It got it's name because It's supposedly the fifth most common disease among children, also known as the parvovirus B19. NOT to be mistaken with puppy parvo.. its totally different. Just this past Sunday he got a pretty strange cluster of bumps, and he says, "spider..." so here I am thinking he got bit, or he has an allergy to something..then on the car ride over to the Horne's for dinner (aunt and uncle) he gets it again. It comes and goes, so wierd! Monday he wakes up with the Biggest rash yet! I immediately take him to the Dr. and it's Just fifth disease.."no big deal" says the Dr. "It's common"...well Our Dr. is soooo nice and ALSO about 85 or something. So being the "paranoid mom" I get home and do google searches ETC.. and oh, to my surprise it is common for children but OH, SO DANGEROUS for pregnant moms! It could ONLY KILL the fetus...thats all, It's probably why the Dr. didnt mention it to me, No biggie. I immediately had bloodwork done to see if I was Infected or not...Still waiting for the results from my OB. The earlier you are in Pregnancy the worse, But who wouldn't worry?? Well, I woke up to Austin's crying in his room, These are the pictures I took last night and this morning...SAD little face!

Happy Birthday Paul...

This Post is in memory of Paul Granada, My Late brother. for those of you who knew him, He would have been 27 yrs old this yr. He was a light to everyone, and could keep you laughing as long as he wanted, A great example of unconditional love and Someone most could call a best friend. I miss his wit and his honesty. When I'm bored and pick up my phone to call someone there are still times I think of him first for a split second. I Love him and know he is with the Lord now doing great things. Happy birthday PAUL. We love you.

My Poor Little boy....

I'm talking about my poor husband...I got a call last Thursday from Jon saying, "Meet me at the emergency room in Provo." I knew he was kidding,My husband is superhuman, he never gets hurt.. only ...he was hurt. He had gone dirt-biking with our good friend Chad. As much as he would like for me to say that he was going off a cliff or something cool like that, fact is he was just probably going too fast and the gas and brake are on the same pedal. Anyone ever hit brakes and gas at the same time on a car??? Needless to say he flew off the bike and dislocated his right shoulder and and hurt both wrists fracturing one of them. huge strawberry on his Bum and bruises everywhere you wouldn't expect! I got some great shots of him on my phone but haven't been able to find the cord to transfer them to the computer...3 Doctors cutting his sweatshirt off, his Morphine tube, and best of all his convulsing body after he was waking up from being put under. These are the only pics I have of him in his sling.."trying" to play with Austin at the Pond at Byu.

These next few Pics are highlights from this weekend...Austin and his cheezy little smile before we took him to the park to play...

Then there's austin watching Madagascar on the computer while we watched General conference on Tv...

Then of course it's (Jon's sis) Ash's Embaressed Face (compliments of Sarah and myself) we made her a naughty lil' basket of wedding nite goodies!

This last pic is my absolute favorite...We had Sarah's lil sis and Bro. Danielle and Garrett over for dinner, as well as Jon's bro. Uncle steevo. Followed by some rockband, and our little rocker (who is in love with Danielle) was singing along to the song they were rocking out to...only instead of the words he didn't know he repeated dinasaur, inasaur, inasaur, inasaur over and over again.

It was a great weekend and Sadly our last general conference weekend while in Utah. We especially enjoyed the Sunday afternoon session, My favorite talk was Elder Holland's about the power of the Book of Mormon. It was so straight forward and powerful! But I loved it all. Hopefully We will be better at posting new blogs so you folks don't get bored!
