Twilight!

After MONTHS of anticipation....here it is~ I went with my very supportive husband to see the midnight showing on opening night of Twilight. I had originally planned on going with a group of girlfriends who also obsess over the Stephanie Meyer Series, But as my husband watched the trailers, he thought he'd like it!
So, Change of plans, I thought it might be funny for him to be the only guy there but we showed up and were surprised when Chase and Eric came with Ana and Kathleen (whose brand new adorable baby was on fox 4 news for being the youngest fan there..Kathleen's baby) It was fun to have a whole Theatre full of fellow fans,(ok, so most of them were probably 14-18) and at the same time annoying when there were parts I really wanted to pay close attention to, and people were talking! I was so surprised to see so many guys there... I think the Characters she chose for Edward and Bella were SO perfect! I hate to point out any imperfection in the movie because I did love it, but Man! It WAS pretty CHEEZY at times! I couldn't help but crack up at some of the faces Edward made,(sorry Abby) It got a little more serious a bit into the movie, But overall I am a FAN and do plan on seeing all 4! Props to Stephanie Meyer, for such a Brilliant Imagination! I've never read any books that size in a matter of 2-3 days! I was skeptical but a Special thanks to Neysa, Ana, and Of course Loli-Pinoli for convincing me that I'd love it!
Go see it Guys!

My oil change

I hope husbands know how everything is twelve times harder to do with two children tugging at you. I went to go and get the oil changed today, and the guy that changed my oil must have 1) had children of his own OR 2) had experienced similar situations with women like myself.

I waited in the lane as Ethan screamed his little lungs out. and Austin's singing Jingle bells, Jingle bells....blah blah blah blah blah should have made it better but No! it just added to the noise! This went on for like 15 minutes until Steven came back to change our oil and by this time Ethan was shrieking the most uncomfortable sleepy cry i've ever heard! and Austin was getting pretty restless too. It sounded like an orchestra was playing out of my car. Poor Steven and everyone else at this place who got to witness the zoo. I was getting looks from a couple of older men that OBVIOUSLY had no children, or never understood what the kids put their wives through!!!
Steven MUST have noticed I was having a rough day because he gave me a free car wash! and a 50% discount! even though I didn't bring my coupon.
Just a funny sidenote~ We were in the tunnel thing of the car wash and those soap guns and water guns were wetting the car as the flappy sponge things were slappin the car as they spun, well Austin got scared or clausterphobic or something cuz he said, Mommy, MOM! Let's go home, K?
I feel like My children control my every move!

My latest project...Belle

This Is Melissa, the girl that works for Jon. I made her Belle Costume so that she could hand out candy on Halloween.

Why do I love to sew so much? Genetics, I guess. My mom owned a bridal boutique when we moved to Texas and custom made dresses for any occasion, mostly weddings. I would go to work with her and make barbie clothes and anything else! I wonder if I would have ever discovered my passion for sewing otherwise. Thank you mommy! She has since gone back to nursing and won't have anything to do with sewing but I wish to someday be as talented and creative and as smart as my mother.
