My cute little pirates!

these pics above are from the pumkin patch with Grandma Wise

Ethan just turned 5 months, and is weighing as much as austin weighed at 1 yr! Dr. Latta said we could start giving him solids and cereal last month, so we've been introducing him to the good stuff, Peas! (see more pictures of daddy feeding him, down below)

Our fun started on Thursday With Grandma Wise, She Invited us (Myself and Sarah and the kiddos) to the coolest Pumpkin patch Near Flower mound. We got to ride a little train into the field of pumpkins, a maze, bounce houses and cute little haunted housefronts, Ethan slept most of the time, but Madison and Austin had a lot of fun together, and we had fun watching them. They love each other so much. After taking tons of pictures, we had a little picnic on the pumpkin patch, now Austin won't stop talking about it.

Fri. was the City of Frisco Fire dept. Halloween "trick or treat" for the kids, it's a huge deal. Our friends, the Boley's invited us to go and also a bunch of our friends came along. Austin had so much fun seeing his little friends. and we had fun too. It was a tour of the fire dept. and of safety town, where local companies hand out candy as well as advertise for their businesses. Pretty cool, So I thought I would make the boys matching pirate costumes.

Tonight we had our Chili cook off for our ward and we invited our neighbors the Shaffner's, a family of 8 who just moved to Texas from Washington state. They had a lot of fun and Hopefully will continue to visit the church with us. They actually just called to tell us that they want to have he missionaries over for dinner and us too, she said, " we want to know a little bit about what they do"... ummm...they are what you may call Golden! I made white bean chicken chili, Mmm our friend's recipe (Thanks Ana) it was a hit! Jon and I decided to dress up with the boys, so I made my costume and Jon put his together, so here are a few pics of our Pirate family. ARGH! I got fabrics AND accessories for the boys and me for $14! Can't beat that.

My Most thoughtful husband!

So Jon and I were on our way to see a movie last Fri. night while my sister Grace and my niece Lauren Babysat. We made a quick stop at Uncle Julio's (The best mexican food around) to get some chips and salsa to sneak into the theatre....and all my friends were there! Sneaky Jonny! Neysa and Jason, Melissa and her hubby and baby, Melanie! who I didn't even notice until 5 minutes later because I was SO surprised! Erin, Chris and Sarah, And Jason and Kristy Kenitzer, Even Carrie was there! My husband planned this beautiful Dinner Party, all in my honor, I love you sweet cheeks! Even arranged for my sister to watch our friends kiddos, Thank you sis!

Then Saturday morning, Jon got me an Appt with Snow Ho (yes, that's really her name)..at Toni & Guy for a sweet haircut, Worth every penny! then that night My friend Vanessa (Vanyfoo) babysat for us so that we could go to his High School reunion. The Colony High School class of 1998 reunion was at the Charlie's marina. Organized by our good Friend Chase and his Wife Ana. Jon was the sexiest guy there, always the ladies man. It was fun to meet his friends and high school girlfriend.

MONTHLY UPDATE...Sorry people...

to be quite honest....I'd rather sew than brag about my kids.. j/k I LOVE bragging about my kids, but do people actually read long blog entries?...I'll be honest, I read the first few sentences and the last few if its 6 paragraphs long...If you really caught my attention I'll read it all...I've turned into my 2 yr old. Pretty much just look at pictures and make my own story out of it.

Austin is Growing growing growing, and Ethan is right behind him! Jon went to dress Austin for church in some khaki's he hadn't worn in 3 weeks and he was FLOODIN'...since we are usually running to get to church 5 minutes early, he just sagged them a little. He wore his new khaki's today and he wore them like grandpa...right above his navel cause they're a tad long.

Let's see...
We do so much during the week that I'm always thinking, "remember to blog that...remember to journal that" and I don't because I'm lucky my husband's job allows him to spend so much time at home with us...long story short, I don't blog when my Baby is home.

Update on Austin's potty training, He does really well to tell us when he needs to go, especially at night when he wants an excuse to get out of bed..but hey-he goes. And he especially loves to go in the bathtub, so if his bathroom always reeks of bleach, thats why. Ethan and Austin both wear size 4 diapers... Ethan's ham thighs are bigger than Austin's and his Butt is bigger! E is Wearing (at 4 months) the PJ's that Austin wore last summer(at 19 months) how? I do NOT know! 18 lbs! 25 in. 95th %ile.

I thought I was the Luckiest mom in the world when I had Austin, the PERFECT angel, I just KNEW Ethan would be a little devil, but he is Just as ANGELIC! I'm pretty lucky to have such amazing babies!

We had the chance to watch general conference last weekend and I thought I would try something that was suggested the sunday before in Sacrament meeting, Ask a question, be specific, and open your heart for an answer. I did that, and was very specific....I was amazed at how many ways my question was answered. I also really got a lot more out of conference, because as I listened closely for my answers I learned so much. I love the Prophet, and I love the opportunity to watch conference 2x a yr, it helps me to put my focus back to where it needs to be. I love my savior.

We Just got a new calling at church and today was our first Sunday as Nursery Leaders.
After watching Austin in Nursery today, I am almost convinced we were placed there to regulate on Austin! He thinks he is Kung Fu panda and as cute as that movie was, he thinks he needs to punch and kick everything in there including kids! All the other nursery helpers assure me that he is usually pretty chill, are they being nice? or Does he think he can get away with more?...Probably both.

AUSTIN'S ANTICS

Something cute Austin said last week...
Austin: wanna go on the boat.
Jon:its too cold to go on the boat today, Austin.
Austin: wanna go on the boat, my swimsuit and jacket.

When he jumps out of his crib at night, as he is crying...
Austin:I hurt my nickel (ankle)

When he gets in trouble...
Austin: My eyes are crying (as he points to the tears coming out.)

Since, he has his P's and Q's down pat, I thought I'd throw something else in, Yes sir, and yes ma'am. so now it's
Mommy: Austin, please bring me a diaper for Ethan.
Austin: Yes sir, mommy.
eh, well..a work in progress.

when he wakes peacefully in the morning, the first thing he says in the morning, every day, with his little grin.
Austin: I sleep good, mommy. (all because I asked him one morning {months ago} how he slept)followed by...wanna see MY Ethan.

My favorite is when It's time to go to bed and he doesn't want to sleep yet.
mom or dad: Lets sing and pray and go goodnite, Austin.
Austin: no, I sleep good. As in...he has already slept good today.
